Princeton Evangelical Lutheran School is located in Princeton, MN.
It is a private school that serves around 14 students in grades K-8.
PELS is coed (school has male & female students) and is other Lutheran in orientation.
In 2008, Princeton Evangelical Lutheran School had 7 students for every full-time equivalent teacher.
The Minnesota average is 16 students per full-time equivalent teacher.
The PELS reading curriculum is built around the Scott Foresman program reinforced with a challenging after class expectation to encourage the love of reading. The arithmetic curriculum program utilizes Saxton Math, which adds skills while reviewing the lessons learned in a traditional approach. Science, grammar, social studies, geography, music and art round out our approach to PELS educational tradition.
PELS is operated to provide a Christ-centered education for the children of parents who are members of Bethany, Christ, and Our Savior's Evangelical Lutheran Churches. However, children of parents not belonging to these congregations may also enroll in our school regardless of race, religion, or economic conditions. Our policy is not, however, to accept pupils only because they are fleeing an unpleasant situation in another school because of disciplinary actions, integration, strikes by teachers, etc.
